Firefighters Knock Down Fire in Downtown LA Office Building

Aerial footage showed multiple fire trucks responding to the scene.

Firefighters were responding to a fire that broke in a 5-story commercial office building in Downtown, Los Angeles Friday morning, fire officials said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call just before 9 a.m. in the 700 block of South Spring Street.

Moderate smoke could be seen from the building. Aerial footage showed people standing outside the building, where multiple fire trucks lined the street.

The blaze was knocked down in 40 minutes, fire officials said.

Damage was limited to the fifth floor, LAFD said.

No injuries were reported.
