The few days of rainfall will help keep temperatures mild before a triple-digit heat-up early next week.

“Keep those umbrellas handy,” said NBC4 forecaster Elita Loresca.

Valleys, coastal areas, the Inland Empire, metro LA, inland Orange County will see rainfall with a chance of storms Thursday. Mountain communities as well as high and low desert areas will see thunderstorms continue through the day.

Once the storms clear out Friday, heavy fog will linger in metro LA, inland Orange County, coastal areas and valleys.

Mountains and high desert communities will have to muscle through the storms and humid air until Saturday.

Mountain and coastal communities will see highs in the mid-70s Thursday and Friday, while metro LA, inland Orange County and the Inland Empire stay in the mid-to-upper 80s until the weekend.

Valleys, high and low desert communities are the hottest with temperatures in the 90s through the end of the week.
