John Stamos: Honored to Be Walked All Over

John Stamos gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Actor John Stamos received the 2,393 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, honoring a career, which has evolved from the family comedy "Full House" to television drama and Broadway.

Television producer and movie director Garry Marshall and Stamos' "Full House" co-star Bob Saget joined Stamos in speaking in the late-morning ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.

"I can't believe I'm standing here," Stamos said.

Stamos recalled a time in the early 1980s when he walked along the Walk of Fame, working on his lines from "General Hospital."

"I thought I was trying to be a street guy and I looked down at these stars, unlike most people, and I said, 'I'm never going to get one of these,"' Stamos said. "I never thought it a million years I would."

Stamos thanked his fans, "who have been so supportive over the years."

"I'm still amazed every time someone comes up to me and they say they've grown up with me or they've followed me since they were a kid," Stamos said.
