Lareanz Simmons, the 14-year-old Riverside boy who was shot while walking home from a friend's house, has been declared dead by Riverside police.

The Poly High School student was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday, and placed on life support.
Although the teen was still on life support Tuesday -- as doctors worked to donate his organs -- police have declared him dead, meaning the shooting investigation is now classified as a murder, according to police.
Funeral arrangements are still being made, with a service possibly scheduled for Friday, sources said.
The city of Riverside has posted a $25,000 reward for a tip that leads to an arrest or conviction in the shooting.
Police have not released a possible motive in the shooting.

Simmons was walking near a relative's home Thursday on Georgia Street in Riverside when a man got out of a vehicle and fired at least six rounds.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call police at 951-353-7105.
