The Oxnard school board met behind closed doors Wednesday evening to discuss a teacher who has been accused of participating in a pornographic movie.
"If we feel as a district the teacher in question is the teacher who we believe it is, we will pursue discipline up to termination," said superintendent Jeff Chancer.
The teacher at Oxnard's Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School is on paid administrative leave while the district investigates her suspected participation, according to district officials.
Allegations surfaced last Friday, when students alerted Haydock administrators, who said they could not confirm the rumors because filters kept them from searching for the videos at school.
The district would not reveal the teacher's name, or how long she has been with the district.
Using smart phones and outside networks, administrators found the videos which depicted someone who they said could be one of their teachers.
Officials suspected that high school students alerted younger siblings about the teacher's potential pornographic history.

That teacher was placed on leave Monday morning, Chancer said.
A letter was sent home with students Tuesday describing the incident and warning parents to monitor their children’s behavior on the Internet. The note cited social media and students’ curiosity as possible catalysts to spread inappropriate material.
In the letter signed by Chancer, the teacher was described as having been "depicted in at least one pornographic video and possibly others on the Internet."
Chancer said he has seen part of a video, but could not confirm whether it featured the teacher in question.
Students had mixed reactions to the news -- some claimed the school district should stay out of the teacher's personal life while others said it was inappropriate behavior for a teacher. They all agreed that the story was a hot topic on campus.
The district has not had problems with this teacher in the past, officials said. The allegations do not involve any students in the Oxnard School District.
The school was in the spotlight in 2010 when officials investigated allegations that two students engaged in a sex act during an educational film in a classroom.
