A man was found dead after a fall from a 250-foot cliff in Palos Verdes this morning, officials said.
A caller reported the incident to the fire department at 9:30 a.m. The body was found in the area of Paseo Del Mar and Chelsea Road, a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman said.
It was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, not the fall, that killed the man, according to an LA County Coroner's representative, who reported the death as a suicide.
