Bar Dispute Leads to Fatal Shooting in Parking Lot

Adrian Martinez Cordona, 35, was in a dispute with several people inside the bar before the shooting outside LuLu's Hideout Bar.

An argument in a San Bernardino bar led to a fatal shooting Sunday night in the adjacent parking lot.

Adrian Martinez Cordona, 35, was in a dispute with several people inside the bar before the shooting outside LuLu's Hideout Bar in the 1900 block of West Rialto Avenue at about 10 p.m., police said.

"The male victim had been involved in an argument with a female," Lt. Rich Lawhead said, of the San Bernardino Police Department. "(He) was asked to leave the bar."

Investigators said Cordona left but later returned and parked his vehicle in front of a tire shop next to the bar.

"We don't know who those people are or what the content of the argument was." said Lt. Timothy Crocker, of the San Bernardino Police Department.

He was last seen standing next to his car before suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Hours later, it was not business as usual at the tire shop.

"Something like this... a gun at the shop catches you off guard," employee Luis Cerda said.

Cerda found a gun tucked underneath the rails of the front gate as he opened it Monday morning.

Crime scene investigators collected the weapon as evidence.

"It's just not safe here anymore," Cerday said.

According to detectives, Cordona, who lived in Redlands, had previous run ins with the law and was on parole.

Surveillance video from the area would be reviewed by detectives.

No arrests were reported as of early Monday. A detailed description of the attacker was not immediately available.
