Homicide detectives are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide at a home in the 700 block of Sierra Vista Court in La Puente.
The bodies of Rosa Chavez, Frank Sanchez and an unidentified man were found inside that residence, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. All were in their 40s.
“It appears there was a relationship that went estranged and [Sanchez] decided to show up today and take his ex-girlfriend's life and potentially her new boyfriend," said Lieutenant Eddie Hernandez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Chavez was a mother of four and took care of some of her grandchildren.
There were no children at the home, said sheriff's deputies.
