An overnight shooting left one man dead and another hospitalized Thursday in Long Beach.
Police responded to the shooting at about 4 a.m. near 64th Street and Coronado Avenue, a few blocks south of the 91 Freeway.
The men were found in the middle of a residential street.
"It's sad, you never think about it being so close to your home," said homeowner Charles Diggs.
One gunshot victim died at the scene. A second man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests were reported.
