Officers followed their noses to a marijuana bust Thursday in Chatsworth.
A man and a woman were taken into custody after officers noticed a "strong odor" coming from their pickup. Officers stopped the truck in the 9900 block of Canoga Avenue about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, said Officer April Harding of the LAPD's media relations department.
"There was a strong odor of marijuana in the truck," Harding said.
Officers then noticed the smell of marijuana emanating from a vent at a nearby warehouse. Harding said about 1,000 marijuana plants and a hydroponic growing system were found in the warehouse.
Police arrested the pickup's two occupants. The subjectss names were not immediately released.
