The repair bill resulting from this winter's heavy rains and mudslides may cost as much as $45 million, it was reported.
Officials have identified 350 repair projects resulting from the season's damaging storms. According to the Los Angeles Times the projects cover six California counties: Calaveras, Imperial, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Siskiyou.
President Obama made a federal emergency declaration which would release federal funds to pay as much as 75% of the recovery costs, the Times reported.
Repairing bridges and roads as well as paying for the emergency rescue efforts were among the priorities.
