Southern Californians facing tough financial challenges may get a second chance to improve their mortgage situation.
Wells Fargo & Company will be hosting a free loan modification workshop for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Wells Fargo Financial, Wachovia Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Equity customers.
The two-day workshop will take place Dec. 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center Exhibit Hall located at 2000 E. Convention Center Way in Ontario, Calif.
Wells Fargo says it's team members are prepared to take up to 2,000 appointments. Nearly 200 staff members will be available to assist with mortgage customers facing payment challenges.
Borrowers may receive a decision on a loan modification, or other option, on site, Wells Fargo said in a statement.
Bilingual representatives will be available to assist borrowers during the event. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is "strongly recommended," the bank said.
