Santa Barbara police released a surveillance photo showing a woman allegedly abducting a newborn boy -- stuffed in a bag -- from a hospital last Friday.
Police tracked the baby to Leianna Arzate's home in Santa Maria on Friday after reviewing security tape footage from Cottage Hospital. The boy, who was born that morning, was found unharmed a couple hours after his abduction.
Police began investigating after the hospital reported a portable baby alarm worn on an infant was activated. The hospital was locked down, and investigators used footage and witness accounts to identify Arzate and her vehicle.
