A man was found shot to death following what police described as an "exchange of gunfire" early Tuesday in Riverside.
Witnesses reported hearing around 15 shots in the area of Eucalyptus and Vermont avenues at around 1:30 a.m, a Riverside Police Department spokesman said. Officers found a 33-year-old Riverside man dead at the scene.
The individual was likely involved in a shootout with other gunmen, police said.
One victim showed up at a hospital 15 minutes after the incident, while another showed up an hour later. Both refused to provide details about the shooting, according to police.
