Shooter on the Loose After Opening Fire on SoCal Freeway

The couple, who was heading home to Corona, told police they don't know why someone would shoot at them.

A shooter was being sought by authorities after opening fire on a man and his girlfriend as they were driving on a Southern California freeway Tuesday morning, police said.

The man was driving on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena when someone shot at his car just after midnight, Pasadena police said.

A bullet grazed the man, but he was not seriously hurt, and his girlfriend in the passenger seat was uninjured, police said. The woman called 911 after pulling off the freeway.

The couple, who was heading home to Corona, told police they don't know why someone would shoot at them, and authorities do not have a motive or any description of the shooter.

Officials are searching for a car that may be similar to a BMW or Infiniti G35, possibly a four-door, 2009 model.
