A man was shot and killed outside a marijuana dispensary in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area of South Los Angeles and the shooter was at-large Wednesday morning.
Deputies responded about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday to a gunshot victim call in the 8100 block of South Central Avenue and found the victim laying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. It appeared the victim was shot while leaving the business.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The victim was in his early 20s and was found outside the 8108 Collective dispensary.
"We do not have any suspects identified," sheriff's Lt. Charles Calderaro said. "We are canvassing the area and we're trying to interview witnesses and see if there is anything that can assist us in doing that."
No weapons have been recovered.
It was unclear what led up to the shooting.
