Comedian Katt Williams was arrested and charged with burglary in Georgia Monday morning, cops said.
Williams, a stand-up comedian who's hosted numerous TV specials and was a regular on Nick Cannon's improv MTV show "Wild 'n Out," was cuffed by cops in Coweta County, Ga., Monday after allegedly stealing nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise from a local residence.
Daniel Broach told police officers Williams broke in Sunday night and stole $3,555 worth of jewelry and collectible coins, TMZ.com reported. Williams used a crowbar to get into his home, Broach said.
Williams was in Georgia shooting a movie, sources said. The comedian's lawyer and friends denied the claim Katt had anything to do with the robbery, saying he was a guest -- not a burglar -- at Broach's home.
Williams posted a $41,150 bond Monday evening.
