Kurds Sweep Iraqi Land From “Cunning and Dirty” ISIS

Kurdish troops near the northern Iraq city of Kirkuk have swept in just the last two weeks a broad swath of territory that ISIS extremists had held for nine months, rolling back the Islamist militants' onslaught as they squeeze them in a two-front fight. A Kurdish pesh merga commander guided NBC News' Bill Neely through an IED-dotted, bullet-hole-ridden landscape that betrayed the skill of fighters on both sides, and vowed to undo the black ISIS flag in the distance. "We will take it, don't worry," the commander said, adding that he was confident his fighters could rout ISIS' "cunning and dirty fighters."
