A new promotional video released by Los Angeles 2024 Olympic bid organizers touts LA as the "western capital of the U.S., the northern capital of Latin America and the eastern capital of the Pacific Rim."
The montage, which runs just over a minute long, showcases different parts of the city and its people, or at least actors portraying them.
Mayor Eric Garcetti said LA, which hosted the Olympics in 1932 and 1984, would stage games that are both spectacular and profitable. Rome, Paris, Hamburg, Germany, and Budapest, Hungary, are also in the running.
The International Olympic Committee will pick the host city in September 2017.
