Woman Awakes to Find Burglary Suspect Showering in Her Home

The homeowner ran outside to call police, who later found the man near the seventh hole of Alta Vista Golf Course

A man in Placentia was arrested on suspicion of burglary Wednesday when he was caught by a homeowner taking a shower inside her residence, police said.

The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Robert Jensen, of Brawley, the Placentia Police Department said. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

Brawley allegedly broke into the home on Powell Drive about 7:30 a.m., where the homeowner awoke to the sound of running water. The intruder earlier shook a sliding door open and walked past the sleeping homeowner to take a shower, police said.

The resident ran outside and called the police.

Brawley apparently left his clothes behind in the bathroom and ran onto a nearby golf course, where he was arrested at the seventh hole on suspicion of burglary. He allegedly stolen a wallet and jacket.
