An officer-involved shooting led to a standoff in Encino early Sunday morning.
The shooting occurred in the area of White Oak Avenue and Weddington Street at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was located in a residential backyard in the 5200 block of Shoshone Ave. and was taken into custody after a standoff that lasted well over an hour, according to LAPD.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds and is in custody for assault with a deadly weapon, police said. A replica handgun and a large knife were later found on the scene.
