Predator Uses Porn to Lure Children in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- There is a predator alert in Long Beach, where a man is targeting children with pornography, police said.

Police said the man spoke to children in the front yard of their home and showed them pornography. He told the children to meet him in a nearby alley, but they told their parents instead, according to police.

Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department noted four incidents:

  • Oct. 9. 2007: Seventh Street and Pacific Avenue
  • May 3, 2008: Hill Street and Atlantic Avenue
  • July 28, 2008: Hill Street and Long Beach Boulevard
  • Sept. 10, 2008: 15th Street and Cherry Avenue

Authorities warned families not to let their children play unattended.

The man was described as being in his 20s, weighing about 160 pounds. He had wavy hair and a soul patch below his lip, police said.

He was driving a gray late 1990s Honda, with a possible license plate of "4D" or "4O."
