Four family members, including a 5-year-old girl, were rescued from a car trapped in flood waters Sunday night in Riverside County.
A specially trained swift-water rescue team responded to a report of a car partially submerged in water on San Jacinto Avenue in Perris during a weekend of storms. The car ended up in a wash area with water rushing on both sides of the vehicle.
Six swiftwater rescue team members helped each occupant from the vehicle one-by-one, carrying the girl to safety and holding on to the other occupants as they walked through the rushing water.
No injuries were reported.
