An arrest has been made in connection with a Christmas night attack against a victim who went to a Seal Beach parking lot trying to sell a watch but instead was robbed at gunpoint, authorities said Thursday.

Details of Mejia’s arrest were not known, but police said a firearm was found in his car.

The 26-year-old is accused of arranging to meet the unidentified victim to buy a gold Rolex watch, which the victim advertised on Craigslist. But when the pair met in person, Mejia allegedly pulled out a handgun and stole the watch, police said.

The attack happened about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 25, 2013, in the parking lot of a CVS at Seal Beach Towne Center (map), police said.
