A man was fatally struck after exiting his vehicle along the 5 Freeway in Sylmar, prompting several lanes to close Wednesday during rush hour.
The man's body was found near the southbound 5 Freeway at Roxford Street around 5 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Several southbound lanes were closed in connection with the collision. It was not immediately clear when the lanes would reopen.
