Kobe Bryant spoke at Westchester High School on Thursday to introduce his latest basketball shoe called the NIKE Zoom Kobe 4.
This is the first time since Chuck Taylor was playing that a low-top basketball shoe will be worn by a star NBA player. It's reportedly the lightest yet strongest basketball shoe every made and Kobe will play a game in it for the first time December 19 when the Lakers play the Miami Heat.
The shoe will hit the stores next month in a variety of colors, and will cost about $100.
One noticeable feature is that the words "Carpe Diem" -- "Seize the Day" in Latin -- are imprinted on the tongue of the shoe.
