Thunder Throttle Clippers 120-108, Westbrook Makes History

Russell Westbrook had a triple-double with a career-high 20 assists and the Oklahoma City Thunder throttled the Los Angeles Clippers 120-108.

OKLAHOMA CITY– Russell Westbrook had a triple-double with a career-high 20 assists and the Oklahoma City Thunder throttled the Los Angeles Clippers 120-108 in a game that could decide who finishes third and fourth in the Western Conference, respectively.

The Clippers appear to be justifiably positioned as the fourth best team in the Western Conference. They are clearly not in the same class as the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. They have now dropped three of four to the Thunder, with their lone victory coming after OKC was leading 22 points in that game and collapsed in the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles was outrebounded 52-29 on the night as the Thunder's size in the middle appeared to be too much for the Clippers to handle. Jeff Green lead the Clippers with 23 points, J.J. Redick had 22 and Chris Paul had 16 assists.

Players of the Night:

Russell Westbrook – 25 points, 20 assists and 11 rebounds
Kevin Durant – 30 points and 12 rebounds
Jeff Green – 23 points
J.J. Redick – 22 points and five three-pointers.
Chris Paul – 12 points, 16 rebounds and 5 steals.

Three Takeaways:

1. Quarter Pounder With Cheese: Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant each scored at least 25 points. Durant led the way with 30 points and 12 rebounds while Westbrook had 25 points, 11 rebounds and a whopping 20 assists!
