Traffic Signals, Nearly 2,000 People Without Power in Alhambra

Police in Alhambra were warning of several failed traffic signals Monday morning due to a power outage that apparently affected close to 2,000 people.

Power was lost at 8:48 a.m., according to the Alhmabra Police Department, and it was cut to 1,864 customers, Southern California Edison said.

Edison expected that power would be restored by 11 a.m.

The city of Alhambra attributed the outage to a downed substation and encouraged residents to contact Edison at 800-611-1911 in a Facebook post.

When traffic signals are down, drivers must consider intersections as a four-way stop, Alhambra police wrote in their own Facebook post.
