A woman was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach and two people were detained in connection with the accident.
Officers responded to the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 25th Street about 9:20 p.m. for a possible injury collision and when they arrived at the location they found a woman down in the intersection, according to Lt. Abram Yap of the Long Beach Police Department.
Firefighters with the Long Beach Fire Department were called to the scene and pronounced the woman dead, Yap said.

Officers located a white SUV with two adults inside a short distance from the crash scene and both people were detained, Yap said.
Detectives investigated the cause of the crash.
The age and name of the victim was not released.
