What to Know
- Opens Oct. 13
- LA Live Steamers in Griffith Park
- $25 and $30 advance tickets, $20 walk-up
You're not a last-minute, down-to-the-wire person, at least when it comes to getting from Point A to Point B.
Which means that you're going to secure your bus pass, your plane seat, or your trip on the rails well ahead of when you arrive at the station, the airport, or the platform.
But what if your trip was a once-a-year treat that didn't proceed from Point A to Point B but did travel from Point A to Point Be Chilled 'n Thrilled?
What to do, where to go and what to see
You'd be on the Ghost Train, the ever-popular, has-a-way-of-selling-out seasonal treat from the LA Live Steamers.
This is the sweet and not-so-scary ride on the small, sit-atop choo-choo, the one that wends through the darker pockets of Griffith Park's northern edge for well over 20 minutes.
Tickets are on sale as of Saturday, Sept. 1, and there are two ahead-of-time options: Express, meaning entry is by the half hour on the date you choose, and Advanced Purchase, which means you can skip the outside-the-gate line and join the inside queue.
Those are $30 and $25, respectively, plus a fee.
If you want to walk up and try your luck on any of the nights? That's twenty bucks.
The Ghost Train opens on Saturday, Oct. 13, and will operate on select nights, right through to Halloween.
