When Monday and Tuesday arrive at a certain fairground in Pomona, the lights go dark, the whirly things stop whirling, and, perhaps most saddening, the fryers stop bubbling.
Yep, the Los Angeles County Fair takes a rest at the start of the week -- many of us probably wish we could do the same -- but there are events to look forward to when things begin whirling and bubbling in oil again on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
More Music: Mariachi USA is up on Sunday, Sept. 19 while Creedence Clearwater Revisited rocks on Thursday, Sept. 16. Tower of Power and Average White Band rock on Friday night, Sept. 17.
Ongoing Favorites: Celebrate Mexico at the Flower & Garden Pavilion; wine tastings; and goat milking demos (happening five times daily!).
This is week two of the fair, if you're keeping track at home. And we expect you are.
