We're all looking for Tuesday-makers, maybe only second to things-that-will-get-us-through-a-Monday.
A photography show full of snapshots of the City of Lights, of fabulous settings and le ultimate in fashion, is pretty Tuesday-making in our books. Those exhibits so often debut on weekends, and we're frankly tired of Friday hogging all the good stuff.
"Paris Fashion & Art as One" is opening on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Artlab Salon in Santa Monica. What's in the show: Beautiful photos from Steven Silverstein (he regularly covers the catwalk scene) as well as nearly a dozen people who also like to wield catwalk-close cameras. Mr. Silverstein, reads the site, helped these aspirants during a recent Paris Fashion Week. Mentorship. Nice.
So many of us would like to shut down the computer and walk around Paris. Right now. Wearing something fancy and possibly with a cape attached. Just for a day. Just for a brioche. And some enjoying of beauty. But Artlab is closer, and we're glad. Opening night party is from 7:30-9:30 p.m. There will be le music and le munchies, too.
