The Farm to Table Tour: Toyota Hybrid is a sponsor of the food-focused to-do, which has been traveling the country while inviting local chefs to stop by and whip up delicious snackage. The tour has also been spotlighting farmers and farmers markets, and the vital role the markets play in the community.
The tour's LA date: Sunday, October 25th, from 9AM-2:30PM

Local chefs on the schedule: Philip Dubose of Asia de Cuba. Josiah Citrin of Melisse. Neal Fraser of Grace (who just whipped up that Twitter-inspired meal). Aimee Tran, who used to be at the Spago stoves. And many more top toques.
The deal: Each chef will be partnered with a farmer, and will create dishes using what the farmer has grown.
The food: Bet it'll be fresh. Bet it'll inspire you to eat more seasonally. In fact, eating seasonally and locally will be two of the topics of the day. Hang out at the stoves, watch the chefs and farmers come through, and snack away on a bright October Sunday.
