Sushi Exodus: Sushi Mon Changing, Yuta, Tama Shuttered

1) Santa Monica: Another fusion sushi spot bites the dust is getting slightly revamped: There is a change of ownership notice for Sushi Mon in Santa Monica announcing that it will become Hikari Japanese Restaurant. No one ever claimed Sushi Mon was a top contender in a town overflowing with nigiri (Yelpers were definitely not fans), but for many Third Street Promenade shoppers (just around the corner), it did the trick, especially fans of the cream cheese-filled, fried, overly sauced concoctions. UPDATE: Someone finally answered the phone and just said there's "a management change." This is one of those perpetually changing spots (shabu shabu before sushi), so it's almost expected at this point. [EaterWire]

2) Studio City: Tama Sushi on Ventura is officially closed, per a tipster. Plans are for it to become Ichimanya, another notch in the Uechi (as in Katsuya) family belt. [EaterWire]

3) Studio City: Looks like Yuta, which took over the Vineyard Terrace space on Ventura, lasted about a year. A reader noticed it was shuttered yesterday. No one answers the phone to confirm. [EaterWire]

3) Burbank: And one random shuttering from the same tipster, same night (three strikes in 24 hours): Krust cafe is also closed. According to Yelpers, it was having probblems as far back as July. [EaterWire]
