The future of kitchen cabinetry can be seen at 126 Pacific Street in Santa Monica, site of the five-unit Pacific Street Townhomes at Ocean Park. We've been tracking this project for a while and stopped by last weekend's open house. The funniest moment of the tour was trying to help another open house guest attempt to open the cabinetry. We nearly ripped off the frosted glass part before consulting the broker, who gave an explanation. Meanwhile, all the units are two-bedrooms, ranging in size from 1,464-1,736 square feet. More via the listing: "Years of planning and meticulous attention to detail have resulted in the creation of this uniquely styled architectural masterpiece with international style and flair." All those years of planning have apparently helped sell two units--there are three townhomes left, priced from $1.29 million to $1.79 million.
