Happy Yoga Day: How to start off summertime? A lot of people will be in tree pose on June 21, the first day of summer, at various yoga-focused celebrations around Southern California. If you'd like to attend a session that will raise money for a great cause, make your way to Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, where yoga and meditation classes will flourish throughout the day from 9 a.m. to 2 o'clock. The beneficiary? All donations go to the non-profit Give Back Yoga, an organization that "... shares yoga and meditation with veterans, cancer survivors, prisoners, and those overcoming addiction or eating disorders." The activity-filled gathering spotlights an organization that "empowers people who are blind or visually impaired to live with increased independence, confidence, and mobility by providing expertly matched guide dog partners." Eat Drink Vegan: Brookside at the Rose Bowl is a spacious, capacious, and lovely-acious place to lap up all sorts of amazing foodstuffs.
