Happy Yoga Day: How to start off summertime? A lot of people will be in tree pose on June 21, the first day of summer, at various yoga-focused celebrations around Southern California. If you'd like to attend a session that will raise money for a great cause, make your way to Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, where yoga and meditation classes will flourish throughout the day from 9 a.m. to 2 o'clock. The beneficiary? All donations go to the non-profit Give Back Yoga, an organization that "... shares yoga and meditation with veterans, cancer survivors, prisoners, and those overcoming addiction or eating disorders." The activity-filled gathering spotlights an organization that "empowers people who are blind or visually impaired to live with increased independence, confidence, and mobility by providing expertly matched guide dog partners."
