Showers and thunderstorms are possible in Southern California's mountains Wednesday afternoon as a storm system moves across the region.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible into Wednesday evening for mountain areas from Ventura County to San Bernardion County. Most of Southern California can expect mostly cloud skies and little to no precipitation Wednesday.
"There is enough instability for showers and thunderstorms," said NBC4 forecaster Crystal Egger. "A lot of this stays up in the mountains."
Similar conditions are in the forecast through Friday before warmer temperatures and clearing skies for the weekend.
