Where will you find your festive Fourth fun? There are fireworks and celebrations throughout Southern California.

Fourth of July: Looking to add a celebratory dose of red, white, and blue to Monday, July 4? Numerous places around Southern California will be sending up the fireworks for Independence Day, from Grand Park to Dodger Stadium to Fullerton to Chino Hills. You can start the party early at Angel City Brewery on Sunday, July 3, or rise early on the 4th for the annual holiday family bike ride in Long Beach. And is Clifton's Cafeteria taking it back to the '40s? You bet, at the Clifton's Canteen, on July 2 and 3.

Anime Expo: If you're a manga maven, or you dig dressing up as a favorite character from an anime series, or you adore comics, karaoke, and meeting artists and writers, you'll be at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 through 4. It's the "largest anime and manga gathering in North America," and the cosplay costuming, games, and other to-dos draw thousands of fans.

Walking Dead Attraction Opens: Did you think dastardly, dreadful things only pop up near Halloween? Pull your collar closer and glance over your shoulder: Universal Studios Hollywood's attraction based on the AMC phenom will begin to moan on Monday, July 4. It's permanent, by the by, and not a seasonal thing like Halloween Horror Nights. Can you out-walk the walkers, though?

Free Union Station Concerts: Spying a traveler rocking a set of headphones on a train platform isn't an unusual sight, but a full-fledged live music show at a train station is a mite offbeat. That will change at our landmark station on Saturday, July 2 when a free "first-ever" music and DJ series revs up in the garden area. Art happenings through the summer, and food trucks, too, will be part of the rails-close reverie.

Shark Week + Virtual Reality: The likelihood of many of us ever swimming with the sharks is on the unlikely side, but we can take a VR adventure beneath the waves at The Paley Center for Media. The mask you don isn't made for water, but rather a virtual world, and you'll spy sharks aplenty, up close. Is this a Shark Week thing? It's a complement to the Discovery event, and it darts away from the Beverly Hills TV museum on Sunday, July 3. Also on at The Paley Center? The Artistry of Outlander, through Aug. 14.
