$30M for Katharine Hepburn's Compound

The long-time home of screen legend Katharine Hepburn is for sale for a whopping $30 million, reports The Wall Street Journal. The Connecticut property originally hit the market last summer with a $28 million price tag attached. Why the 7% increase? The owners are reportedly in the process of building a 2,750 square foot gatehouse. While no photos are available of the new addition, we imagine it must be one swanky gatehouse to necessitate a $2 million increase in list price.
