Late-night drivers on the west side will have to endure another freeway closure while crews strip and repave a portion of the 405 Freeway as part of a widening project.
All lanes on the northbound 405 Freeway between Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards will be closed starting at midnight until 5 a.m. Friday.
To avoid the closure, drivers can take this detour:
- Exit the freeway at the Santa Monica Boulevard off-ramp
- Turn right onto Santa Monica Boulevard
- Turn left onto Sepulveda Boulevard
- Turn right onto Wilshire Boulevard toward the northbound 405 on-ramp
