Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man Sunday found on a road in the Angeles National Forest, north of La Canada Flintridge, in the San Gabriel Mountains, according to a deputy.
The man's body was discovered about 12:50 p.m. at mile marker 21.08 on the Angeles Forest Highway, according to Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez.
The man died at the scene, Navarro-Suarez said. His name was withheld pending notification of kin.
The cause of death has not been determined.
