A brush fire is burning in a construction area on steep terrain in the Glendale area on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The fire was reported near the Southbound 2 Freeway at Mountain Street, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Randall Wright.
The fire is a half-acre big in steep terrain, according to a representative of the Verdugo Fire Department. It's burning in a construction area on a hillside, they said.
It was declared a two-alarm fire before 2:30 p.m., according to the Verdugo Fire Department.
