Streets in Commerce are closed Thursday morning due to a water main break.
The gusher at the intersection of Camfield Avenue and Telegraph Road was first reported at 10:15 p.m, Wednesday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
So far it is unknown what caused the 12 inch cast iron pipe, which is 88-years-old, to rupture.
Two buildings have been impacted by the flooding, and California Water Service crews are working to fix the problem. As of 6 a.m. they said it would take up to three hours to complete the repairs.
There are flashing reds on Telegraph Road, while Camfield Avenue is currently closed.
