Some LA Residents Oppose Iran Nuclear Deal

Some members of Los Angeles' Jewish community are stepping up the fight against the recent Iran nuclear deal over fears the deal will pose a danger to Israel.

"My daughter is there, my grandchildren are there ... my aunts, my uncles... " said Ahuva Molcho, who considers Israel her second home. "It is a local issue."

Residents held a rally outside the Federal Building in Westwood opposing the Obama Administration's pending nuclear agreement with the Iranian government.

"We are rewarding the world's leading terrorist state to become the possessor of atomic bombs after 10 years," said Rabbi Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. "That's not logical."

Hier, who has supported the president in the past, says the United States needed a key concession from the Iranian government.

"You can't call for the destruction of Israel or the destruction of America," he said.

But others believe, with China and Russia no longer interested in sanctions against Iran, the White House had few options.

They give the president the benefit of the doubt.
