A 28-year-old man riding a Taotao scooter was killed in a collision with a police cruiser in Santa Monica early Saturday.
The crash was reported around 7:40 a.m. near Pico Boulevard on 4th Street, according to a news release from the California Highway Patrol.
The Highland Park man suffered fatal injuries in the crash with a Santa Monica police vehicle. The cause of the crash was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
