A man who used his cellphone to record images of a woman's genitals while she was shopping at a market was being sought by police.
The incident happened June 27 between 3 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. at a market in the 21000 block of Western Avenue in Torrance.
The 35-year-old victim said she noticed she was being stared at and closely followed by the man. When she reached for a bottle of water from a shelf, she could feel the man very close behind her. She said she noticed the man crouching behind her with his cellphone in his hands, positioned below her skirt and just above her knees, according to the Torrance Police Department.
The victim yelled at the man who immediately walked towards the exit, and ran out of the market through a parking downt the street on Abalone Avenue, according to the Torrance Police Department.
