Residents Terrorized by Serial Tire Stabber Dubbed the “Silver Lake Slasher”

More than 100 tires have been knifed in the Los Angeles neighborhood since October, with one woman being struck in each of the past two nights.

Residents are being terrorized by a serial tire stabber who has been dubbed the "Silver Lake Slasher."

More than 100 tires have been knifed in the Los Angeles neighborhood since October, including one woman whose tires were slashed two nights in a row.

Leaondra King was left distraught after discovering both her vehicles outside her house on Effie Street had been attacked, leaving her with expensive repair bills.

"(At first) I thought it was maybe teenagers, then I was like, no, this is something else more sinister. Something more sick," King said. "It's very disheartening. It's Christmas season. And $500 on tires is not what I want to be doing with my money."

Others victims in the neighborhood have been left fearing for their safety following incidents.

"I am afraid ... You know, we’re two girls living in an apartment and there‘s someone with a weapon outside our house," Dana Kelly said.

Rumors have been swirling around about just who is responsible, though so far there are no solid leads for police.
