12/28: New Shanghai Circus

Amazing acrobatics in Cerritos.

NEW SHANGHAI CIRCUS: The balancing. The leaps. A half-dozen performers riding a single bicycle. This acrobatic troupe brings the wonders and gasp-inducing moments to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts through New Year's Eve. Did you see Cirque du Soleil in Santa Monica? Will you be seeing Cirque again in Irvine? Get to know New Shanghai, too. 8PM

FINAL EVENINGS: There are just three nights left for the LA DWP Holiday Light Festival. It's free, it is in glorious Griffith Park, it will keep that Christmas feeling going, even though the holiday is now over. You can walk, you can drive, or you can hop on the shuttle and stay a bit toastier. Hours are 5-10PM; festival wraps for 2009 on Wednesday, December 30th.

ANAHEIM NIGHT: Have you seen Sleeping Beauty's Castle? Wowza. The glow-y aura of lights. Christmas is still on at Disneyland. And, at House of Blues in Downtown Disney, some local lads are performing tonight: Reel Big Fish. You like the ska, you're needing a dose of party-fun punk to send out the old year. This is your show. 8PM
