9/10: Txt Msg Laffs

THE TEXT MSG SHOW: The Last Day of School laugh-makers make texting the topic in this get-the-audience-involved show at UCB. Your texting, in fact. Or the texts belonging to the person in the seat next to you. In short: audience members are asked to arrive with their cells, and all those juicy texts. Will your recent lol-filled convo with your bff be the humorous plot of the night? Might happen. 11PM, $5

VEGAN PARTY: Kim Barnouin, one of the co-authors behind the successful (and memorably monikered) "Skinny Bitch" series, heads to Breadbar in Century City to sign her "Skinny" book and to launch Healthy Bitch Daily. Part of the stay-slim-stay-healthy festivities: a seven-course vegan feast for $30. Reservations necessary.

THREE MORE GREAT GO-OUTS: Downtown Art Walk marks its fifth anniversary. What you pay to walk around dozens of downtown spots and look at art: nada. Director Peter Bogdanovich discusses "The Last Picture Show" at The Egyptian (there's also a screening); and "A Hard Day's Night" screens at Silent Movie Theatre. Beatles Week continues!
