Behold Rodarte's Strongest Collab Yet

L.A.'s dream design team Rodarte returns this season with a sophomore collection for trendsetting bi-coastal retailer Opening Ceremony. While the Mulleavy sisters' debut collaboration for Spring 2011 featured a whopping 144 pieces — boasting everything from swing dresses in lush tapestry prints to '90s-inspired floral one-piece swimsuits — Fall 2011 has grown up a bit, and in many ways is far more sophisticated than its predecessor.

Priced from $300 for a Fair-Isle Mock Neck Sweater to $1,440 for silk High-Waisted Pegged Pants (that one's a head scratcher — is it the sequins that put it above the Goat-Trimmed Jacket in price?), the largely feminine-leaning collection was effectively inspired by the dreamy Nordic aesthetic of Scandinavia. Presented in a palette of soft nudes, pinks, and mint greens, models sport milkmaid-like braids while donning billowy silk dresses, ruffled blouses, lambskin leather skirts, printed shirting, and demi-collared knits.

If you missed the Rodarte x Opening Ceremony debut Spring 2011 collab, you can shop 136 of the original 144 pieces online now, all significantly reduced. If the lack of its selling out is any indicator of the ready availability of the new Rodarte collection, you may not need to jump the gun on the pre-order. That said, if you can't wait to try on pieces in-store, you can pre-order a staggering 64 pieces from the fall collection now online, all of which is promised to ship to you by September 30.
